The term MEAN stack refers to a collection of JavaScript based technologies used to develop web applications. It is a full-stack JavaScript solution that helps you build fast, robust and maintainable production web applications. MEAN is an acronym for MongoDB, ExpressJS, AngularJS, and Node.js. MEAN.JS will help us in getting started and avoiding useless grunt work and common pitfalls while keeping the application organized.

MEAN stands forÔÇô

  • MongoDB- It is the leading NoSQL database, empowering the businesses to be more agile and scalable.

  • ExpressJS- It is a minimal and flexible web application framework providing a robust set of features for building single and multi-page, and hybrid web applications.

  • AngularJS- It lets you extend HTML vocabulary for the application. The resulting environment is extraordinarily expressive, readable, and quick to develop.

  • Node.JS- It is a platform built on Chrome’s JavaScript runtime for easily building fast, scalable network/web applications.

Mean Stack development is gaining attraction. There are growing number of developers which are building full-stack Javascript applications powered by Angular and Node.js. The mean.io project is a framework which simplifies and accelerates your mean stack development. If you require a fast, easy, simple way to create a modern, responsive, dynamic web site then mean.io would be a great solution. MEAN supports strong design patterns (in particular, MVC or Model/View/Controller) to help guide your architecture. The components of MEAN are all open-source projects, which means that the stack is free to use, regularly updating, and very flexible to both users and customize to your needs. Successive Software has also been developing a strong team in this area. We are currently working on multiple projects in this field delivering high-quality output to our clients. A lot of stuff is happening around modularising and cleaning up the mean core, providing easier ways to contribute packages and general ongoing fixes.
